History of Sittin' Pretti.
Sittin’ Pretti was founded in
1989. It was started by few guys in the Everett and north Seattle area. Some of
the founding members were Mike Leak, Glenn Estabaya, and Rob (whose last name
remains a mystery to me). Throughout the years more members joined such as Danny
Hollefreund, Rob Schultz, Annie Gill, Ryan Wilt and Ryan Anderson. All of these
members are considered alumni. They made their mark in our club and even though
they are no longer either rolling logos or hanging around they are always
welcome at club events and to participate and help at our show.
I joined the club in 1996. Since then I have seen the club and the sport go
through many changes. When I joined in ‘96 we had not thrown a show as a club in
2 years. I knew that we had to change that. All of the members were really gung
ho about starting to plan our show. Since then we had thrown our annual show and
have continued to grow.
We have strived as a club to produce the best rides in the Northwest, and the
scene in general. Our members are very dedicated, as well as loyal to our club
and the sport. Our club carries strict guidelines on the vehicles as well as
members. Our rules and membership process are so strict and long, as to weed out
the vehicles and people that don’t meet our criteria.
We have helped establish a tradition in the Northwest of quality vehicles. The
Northwest has just recently started to receive the attention that it has
deserved for a very long time. We are glad to be a part of that along with the
other Northwest vehicles and clubs representing the sport in our area.
Our club is going on its 17th year and boasts the longest running club of its
type in the entire Northwest. The tradition and streak will continue for many
years to come!!
